Coat Made Using MacPhee Workshop Pattern 207

Debbie Colgrove, Licensed to About.com
The winter coat shown here is a lengthened version of MacPhee Workshop Pattern 207 --World's Easiest Parka. This pattern is honestly easy with only a few pattern pieces. I did make a few additions. By making a second coat that was quilted lining, and enclosing it in a trimmed edge. The only "difficult" part of adding the lining was the zipper area... and I wouldn't really classify that as difficult for anyone who has sewing experience.

By using fleece that was on clearance, quilting my own lining on a dollar per yard fabric, the entire coat cost under $7 to make. I never include the cost of the pattern in my garment costs... I plan on using the pattern again and again.

Free pattern and directions for the face warmer shown in the photo.
