How to Cover a Pillow for a Pet Bed

Cleaning out an old home, replacing bed pillows and throw pillows are just a few of the reasons you will have a surplus of pillows that are too good to throw away but they have out lived their original purpose. Cover them to create a soft and warm comfortable pet bed for your pets or for the pets that are awaiting homes at your local animal shelters. The cats will use those throw pillows as well as small fleece blankets. The dogs will love your converted bed pillows and large throw pillows. Many people replace their bed pillows on a regular basis and there is still plenty of life left in the pillow that is being replaced. Most pillows will outlast the covering on them.
Covering an old pillow with Polar fleece, fun fur or a soft flannel will turn that pillow into a very appreciated bed for a dog in a shelter or maybe even the dog in your home so he has a couple of places to take a nap and can remain near you at the same time. If you have a dog house, line the sides and bottom with multiple covered pillows for when the dog has to be outside and the weather is not pleasant.
