When cutting your fabric you will need more width than length, to create a piece of fabric with twisted pin tucks.
Starting in the center of the widest part of your fabric, mark evenly space lines. The pillow with close twists was marked at 1 1/2" intervals while the spaced out tucks on the smaller pillow was marked at 2" intervals. There was also a variation in the size of the tuck. Experiment on scrap fabric before the fabric you want for a finished project.
