Free Pattern and Directions to Sew a Tooth Fairy Pillow

• Using the cutting fold line, fold the pocket so that the right sides are together.
• Optional: Add seam trims if desired to the open edges of the pocket.
• Sew the edges using a 1/4" seam allowance and leaving an opening in the bottom to turn the pocket right sides out.
• Trim the seam allowances at the corners.
• Turn the pocket right side out.
• Push the seams to the edges.
• Fold under the seam allowance where it was left open for turning the right side out.
• Press, keeping the seams at the edges of the pocket.
• Place pocket on the pillow front, keeping the folded edge of the pocket at the top.
• Top stitch the pocket in place, stitching close to the edge on the seamed edges of the pocket, leaving the folded edge open.
• Optional: Decorate the pillow front with embroidery such as facial features or the child's name. Also sew trim or lace to the front edges if desired.
