- Depending on the sizes of the feet and throat plates you will be storing in the organizer, enclosing the raw edge of the bias under the top of a pocket, stitch a piece of bias tape vertically down the center of the pockets.
- Make a loop of the elastic cord. Laying the elastic on top of the fabric, centered on the bottom 7" edge. Baste the elastic in to place.
- On the hanger end of the fabric, fold down the center (wrong sides together) and stitch approximately 1/2" on each piece of fabric, to leave an opening for the hanger.
- Place the right sides of the fabric together and stitch, using a 1/2" seam allowance, along the long edges and the hanger end, leaving the opening for the hanger un-stitched. Do not stitch the bottom edge.
- Place the hanger hook in to the hanger opening from the wrong sides, using the hanger to help push the fabric through the tube, until you have the right sides out. In order to not create a lot of wrinkles and risk tearing any of the vinyl, I found it easier to have a partner hold one end while I turned it.
- Finger press the edges smooth.
- Turn up a 1/2" on the bottom edges, pressing the raw edges inside the organizer, keeping the elastic loop outside. Top stitch along the folded up edge.
- Fold the organizer, by slipping the hanger down into the fabric. Mark where the loop will close the organizer with a button and sew a button on the mark.
