Sew a Cat Toy from a Shoulder Pad

From Peggy Hollinger Schwartzbeck, for About.com

From Peggy
Hi Debbie,
I just saw your cute little cat mouse toy. You can also make the bodies out of old shoulder pads. Fold the pad in half and sew the rounded edge almost to the end. Stuff with cat nip and finish sewing to the end. Add ears, eyes, nose and tail. You can cover the shoulder pad in a different fabric before sewing, if desired. This one is great for recycling those shoulder pads that you don't know what to do with. My cat, Alex, unlaced the thread in one to get to the cat nip!
