Sew a Ladybug Pajama Bag -- Convert to a Bug for the Boys

Pajama bags are a great way to help a child start the day with a "touch" of being organized and picking up for themselves. Sewing allows you to personalize your PJ bag.
Make this cute ladybug to keep the job fun! Let the boys design their own cartoon character just by using different colors. Make extras to have on hand for gifts!
Materials needed:

• 1/2 yard of 45" wide red fabric
• 1/2 yard of 45" wide black fabric (more if you will be making your own bias)
• Cotton batting
• Black packaged piping (OR Bias cut from the black fabric and 8/32" piping to create your own cording. Find more information here)
• Black packaged wide double fold bias tape (OR create your own from the black fabric)
• Thread
• Pattern
• 17" circle template (raid your kitchen cabinets and measure your plates and platters)
• Various 1 -2" circle templates
• Fusible web
• Fiberfill
• 16" black zipper
• Sewing machine

Cutting directions:
From your red fabric:

• Cut two 17" circles.

From your black fabric

• Cut two 17" circles
• Two of the pattern
• Apply fusible web to the back of scraps and cut an assortment of 1- 2" circles

From batting:

• Cut three 17" circles
