What type of sewing you did/do with this machine?
almost every day use. I make dog (chihuahua) garments, fabric bowls, pieced patchwork jackets,quilted place mats,quilted kitchen items,clothing repairs, quilted lap robes, teddy bears for charity from knit fabric, baby charity items, and on and on.
I wanted a machine that would be a nice Satin stitch, and this is a nice one. It has 40 pre-programmed stitches, and I have used every one of them.
What is your satisfaction level with this machine?
I could not be happier with this machine.
I would not use it anywhere near as much as I do for all this sewing if it was not easy to use.
This machine should have the book, as it is very helpful to see what stitch to use where. The instructions are very clear.
I have been sewing for over twenty years, completely self-taught.
Advice
- I think this would be a great machine to purchase. Bear in mind that with a computer machine, you do not OIL it.
- It must be taken to a person authorized to work on them, for a tune-up. Mine has had one tune-up/cleaning since I bought it in '05 so it is not a huge investment one makes often.
- If the book is not with the machine at purchase, you could probably go onlne and find it from Brother.
