Approximate price paid for this machine?

Highest - $125 - 66 treadle

What type of sewing you did/do with this machine?

Basic small projects, some quilting piecework, some clothing.

What is your satisfaction level with this machine?

I love all of my old machines. The older machines are well made, sew most common fabrics, have already lasted through many years of use, and with care, cleaning and oiling (and replacing a worn out motor and foot control if necessary) will keep working for decades more. Much better than newer plastic machines. A few dollars invested in an older all-metal machine will be well worth it for the quality of stitching they provide.

Advice

  • To buy an old machine, check all wiring and motor
  • look for bobbin, bobbin case, plate covers, intact tensioner, take-up spring.
