Nurses caps are typically starched. Although many caps have colored strips on them, a nurse earns that strip upon graduation of their course.
This cap can be made with white poster board or with fabric.
For a fabric version of this cap:
Cut two out of white fabric.
Iron fusible web onto both pieces of fabric.
Optional: Iron a piece of white pleated trim to the top straight edge.
Iron both layers together, being careful to match all edges. Trim any uneven edges if necessary.
Bend front to flip upwards, in a semi-circular fashion. (refer semi circular marking on pattern and to the picture)
Use a button or hand tack the back pieces together at the red marks, keeping the center piece on the inside.
For Poster board version:
Cut one of pattern from white poster board.
Score the poster board on the top side, along the circular line.
Carefully bend front to flip upward as in photo.
Paste or glue, back sections over each other, matching the pattern dots, keeping the Center section to the inside.
Optional:Paste a pleated trim to the top edge, along the top inside edge , so that the glued area is not visible from the front of the cap.
