Submit Your Halloween Costumes to Our Costume Gallery

Halloween costumes are the crème de la crème of creativity and one of the best ways to experiment with fabrics and techniques.
The ideas that we share can help inspire someone new to start sewing or give a seasoned sewer a new idea. If you have pictures of your past Halloween costume creations and can tell us a little bit about how your costume came to life, you can help others by submitting your costume to be part of Our Viewer Submitted Costumes Gallery.

How to Submit Your Costume

  • Scan or send digital images with your description. Please use your camera or art software to resize your images to a maximum width or height of 500 pixels, and set the resolution 72 DPI. Save the image as a .jpg or .jpeg file setting the quality to 'excellent/100%'. Total file size should be under 400 kb. Please email me if you have difficulty meeting these requirements.
  • Read the About.com User Agreement.
  • Use this link to send an email your sewing guide with the following information:
    • Write a brief or detailed description of how the costume was made. Things you learned or used while making the costume will help others decide if they can tackle a similar costume.
    • Remember to attach your photo to the email.
    • Please copy and paste the following statement into the body of your email: "I certify that I am the author or sole owner of the material I am submitting to About.com. About.com and its licensees may reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and otherwise use the material for any purpose in any form and on any media. I agree to indemnify About.com for all damages and expenses that may be incurred in connection with the material. For more information, please see our user agreement.".
    • Please only send costumes that are family friendly. All other's will not be posted.
Thank You for taking the time to share and inspire others to sew!
