Choosing Thread
Thread - you will need a good quality all purpose thread for this project. There is a huge variety of thread available in today's market. Your first instinct may be to hit the bargain bin of 5 for $1 thread. Don't do it. This thread is inferior and throws off excess lint in your sewing machine. Many times it has knots and lumps and caused poor machine performance. Many sewing machine dealers make recommendations for thread when you buy a machine.

Please read Thread - Seeing Is Believing!, To see for your self that there is a difference. Keep this article in mind when choosing your thread. Many sewing machines will fight you every step of the way if you try to use inferior thread. The hassle is not worth the small amount of money you may be saving.
Choose a color that is as close as possible to the fabric you will be using.
