- Layer the top of the bag pieces and baste the edges together.
- Pin the handle tabs, on a long edge, 2" in from the ends.
- Baste in place.
- Center the closing tab on one section, aligning the top edge and raw edge of the closing tab.
- Baste in place.
- Placing right sides together, align the edges.
- Sew the long edge that has the handle tabs attached, using a 1/2" seam allowance on both sets of top sections.
- Sew again, reinforcing the area the handle tabs are attached.
- Apply a seam finish.
- Press as sewn.
