Sew in the Lining

  • Place the lining in the pocketbook.
  • Match the side seams of the lining with the side seams of the body of the pocketbook.
  • Place the folded under edge of the lining on top of the top edge of the body of the pocketbook.
  • Top stitch the lining in place, sewing as close to the folded edge as possible.

Place a drawstring in the casing. A drawstring can be combined with the elastic by working a piece of drawstring on each side of the purse and knotting the ends together outside the purse.
