Sew the Closing Flap

How to sew the closing flap for a durable binder cover.

The Closing Flap

  • Sew piping to one piece of the closing flap, using a 1/4" seam allowance. (How to Sew Piping)
  • Sew the hook side of the hook and loop tape to the other flap piece.
  • Place the pieces right side together and sew, using a 1/4" seam allowance, leaving the end opposite the curved end open.
  • Turn right side out and press.
