Sew the Tail

Stitch the tail & turn right side out

Stitch the tail & turn right side out

Debbie Colgrove, Licensed to About.com
With the right sides of the fabric together, fold the tail (as it was cut on the fold) and sew the edge as shown in the photo, leaving the small end open for turning. Trim the seam allowance. Turn right side out.

Tip: A small dowel, with one end sharpened by a pencil sharpener, a small screw driver or the machine seam guide shown here, help with the turning process. A thick fur may require a smaller seam allowance, to allow for turning.
