- Lay the center of the strips raw edge on the fold line (center of area between the notches). Pin in place. (Note: Lay the body of the bag on the opposite side of the strip that you applied your closure)
- Align the notches with the sewn ends of the strip and pin in place. Match notches to the end of the strip.
- Gather the body of the bag to fit the strip, evenly distributing the gathers.
- Repeat for the other strip and body piece.
- Stitch in place using a 1/2" seam allowance.
- Optional: Apply trim to the seam allowance on the body of the bag.
