    Fold the pattern in half at the wrist and extend the fold the length of the pattern. This fold line will be your grain line.
  • Pre-quilt your fabric, using multiple layers of batting or use thick pre-quilted fabric.
  • Lay the pattern on a single layer of your fabric, keeping the grain line an even distance from the fabric selvedge. Pin the grain line in place.
  • Pin the edges of the pattern in place.
  • Cut out the pattern piece from your fabric.
  • Un-pin the pattern piece and turn. the pattern piece over.
  • With the pattern piece turned over, repeat to cut out the second side of the oven mitt.
