What project you are sharing?
Hi Debbie! I made your wood carrier holder out of some lightweight steelcut ballistic fabric and some heavy duty nylon webbing from work, and he loves it! He's able to carry in a load of wood with one hand due to the light weight and great design. I'm making one for dad in law this weekend! Keep up the good work, Debbie!
I'll see if I can't add a picture later! I don't have one at the moment, but soon!
How long did it take you to sew the project?
Couple hours, I made a few modifications for customization purposes. I sew daily at a place that makes gloves, bags (hockey, backpacks, etc) and other items, plus I have experience in clothes and pattern making.
Tips and Tricks
- I usually sew the straps together before stitching it to the bag. After stitching the ends together, (making sure the strap isn't twisted) I lay the opened, flattened seam facing down, then sew up and down each side, making an "x in the box" pattern up at the top part of your handles.

Thank YOU so much for sharing your experience with making the log carrier. I love your idea of sewing the X at the top of the handles.Free Firewood Carrier Sewing Pattern | Log Carrier Bag
